Transformation as the Key to Development!

Today, we are pleased to announce that the The Union World Conference on Lung Health provided an excellent opportunity to reaffirm our common goals and mission to defeat tuberculosis through the signing of relevant memorandums.

Thus, 10 countries have officially confirmed their representation and cooperation with TBpeople. These countries include: Eswatini, Ukraine, Nepal, Cambodia, Kenya, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Tajikistan, Moldova, Vietnam.

Strengthening and developing our partnerships, we have also reached agreements with Nigeria and the newly formed Younite Global platform, whose development and support are now on TBpeople’s agenda!

“People with tuberculosis should not die,” emphasizes Olya Klymenko, Community Coordinator. “By joining forces, we will achieve equal access to treatment for everyone, everywhere! We are proud of this achievement and will continue to expand and strengthen our network. Together, we are stronger and can defeat tuberculosis!”

We thank the Stop TB Partnership and UNOPS for their sincere support within the #CFCS Round 12 project, which enables us to support community organizations in the most affected countries and build community capacity.

Join us in this important endeavor and help us #EndTB. We believe that together we can achieve global goals and create a world free of tuberculosis.

Taking into account the need to strengthen the network’s linkages with the communities on the ground, and being conscious about language limitations, which could prevent many people affected by TB from joining the network, early in 2018 TBpeople started piloting a country representation model. In May 2018, it signed its first Memorandum of Understanding, Co -operation and Representation with a the newly created network, TB PEOPLE UKRAINE.

В настоящее время страновые отделения созданы в Азербайджане, Камеруне, Грузии, Индии, Казахстане, Кыргызстане, Нигерии, Пакистане, Филиппинах и Украине. TBpeople Global постоянно работает над мобилизацией, институционализацией и укреплением общественных групп по всему миру. Итак, по состоянию на февраль 2023 года TBpeople Global поддерживает создание сетей сообществ в Ботсване, Камбодже, Кот-д'Ивуаре, Гвинее, Непале и Уганде.
